With more than 700 attendees, we broke a record for community event in Macedonia and maybe in the Region. Free online registration service for this event was used. After only 15 hours from the first event announcement in our newsletter, a total of 600 tickets for the event were reserved. On the 26th of November we opened the event with a number of 1168 registered attendees.

Next day, we were expecting a crowd in the University lobby. But this year we were well equiped and organized to check in as much as it needs!!! We were using EventBrite free service for event registration and check-in, so a Mobile Phone application was used to scan barcode/QRcode on the tickets thet registered users received in their registration confirmation e-mail. Every attendee printed his ticked and was checked-in in seconds.

It was wonderful feeling to be on the opening Key Note where whole room was full of people that want to be a part of an community event. Our biggest room with 300 people capacity was too small to accomodate everybody, so LiveMeeting streaming was watched by others in the rest of the event rooms.

Everyone that could not reach us on-site at the Venue could follow the sessions live, trough MS Live Meeting streaming. Statistics shows about 400 Live Meeting attending sessions during the 20 hours of presentations - much more than expected.

CodeCamp was published on social networks like Twitter where each sessions start was announced. All attendees were joined on their mobile devices on the open WiFi network. They were activly participating in the online conversations, commenting about sessions, speakers and the event.

We also prepared an interesting game for our atendees during the breaks. Each participant that tweet with hashcode #mkcodecamp could be raffled for a prize.

During the Sessions, all rooms were full of peaople, even somewhere there were people standing:

Last year we had great feedback from attendees on our first Code Camp event. Popularity of this event is based on continuous good work of the Macedonian .NET User group and also as a result of the last year Code Camp event quality.

This year we managed to create our own software (website) for electronic evaluations. On all 3 floors of the Event Venue we had computers where attendees could enter their opinions about the event Organization and Sessions.

Judging by this year feedback from more than interested community, this was the best community events in Macedonia. We are really proud that the community recognized our effort and responded in such great number of attendees.

Great thanks to all the efforts that organization team, volunteers, speakers and all supporters did for this event to succeed.

It was great experience for each of us, and we are looking forward to see you next year at the Code Camp 2012.
